Lakas Isipan ng Kabataan Club celebrated its 10th Academic Festival on March 6, 2020 at the Baguio Central University Gymnasium with 307 attendees from 26 LINK Club member schools from Baguio City and Benguet Province.
With the theme “Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention”, the festival served as a platform for the students to showcase their talents and skills in writing, public speaking, drawing, dancing and singing, and their knowledge about mental health.
The Academic Festival’s goals are to provide a platform for LINK Club members to share their perspectives and expand their expertise on mental health and related subjects, as well as to encourage the members’ imagination, abilities, and skills. Furthermore, the festival assists students in redirecting their focus and energies to a more fruitful and useful task, such as improving their self-esteem and self-confidence.
