Clinical and Intervention Services Department (CISD)
The secondary level intervention program of PMHA CCI is an outpatient mental health clinic involved in the assessment, early diagnosis, and management of emotionally and psychologically distressed individuals. This program is carried out by psychologists, on-call psychiatrists, and on-call counselors, and offers the following services:
A. Initial Interview/Assessment
This is an in-depth interview with guardians, parents and/ or case workers regarding the clients’ case.
B. Psychological testing and Evaluation on the following cases:
1. Educational Placement
2. Clinical
3. Employment
4. Adoption
5. Abuse (physical, verbal, sexual and/or psychological)
6. Beneficiaries (SSS/GSIS/PhilHealth beneficiary)
7. Annulment (referral from a Psychiatrist)
C. Satellite Testing
Psychological testing done outside the PMHA CCI Office and administered to group of individuals as per request of the referring agency.
D. Individual, Group and Family Counseling Services
E. Testify in court with regards to the psychological evaluation of clients who are survivors and alleged perpetrators of abuse; and for custody cases.
F. Referral services to other agencies and/or professionals
Referral service is carried out when the client’s other needs cannot be addressed by the Department’s existing programs. Said service would include further psychiatric work up with a Psychiatrist, neurological evaluation with a Neurologist, Occupational Therapy with an Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapy with a Speech Therapist.
G. Family Support Group
A support system created to help families and caregivers of clients with mental health concerns learn better ways of caring and managing the concerns related to their disabilities. This support system also helps encourage family involvement towards successful recovery.
H. Crisis Intervention Program
A short-term, immediate response system designed to help individuals who are overwhelmed by a crisis regain stability, safety, and control.
